Lupcho Mirkovski, art director of Macedonian delegation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest explained why MKTV decided to pull off the contest.
“One of the reasons is bad results on last three years on Junior Eurovision for Macedonia,we think that it is not about bad songs or bad performances but “brotherhood” voiting of former Soviet and scandinavian countries. We talked with Sietse Backer and other people of EBU about that and they are not considered about it.”Mirkovski explained.
“Macedonia is one of countries participate every year from the very first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Other reason is of course money. We are not in situation participate this year and me as assistant of Head of delegation and art director,and Rade Spasovski as Head of Delegation are very sorry about Macedonian song and language will not be in Amsterdam” Mirkovski added.
