  1. During the USfO shows in 2010 and probably with Svetlana Loboda’s hell machine still present in his mind, Stefan Raab coined the phrase ‘ukrainischer Kettensägenact’ (Ukrainian chain saw act). I guess that you get what he meant. He wanted to make clear that Germany needed an entry that could survive next to the most spectacular and over the top performances. Now that Ukraine has proven that they can come up with classy ESC performances too, they will probably return to the chain saw style again this year. The song itself qualifies as irritating noise imo and the lyrics are extremely simple … or if I drop my Mr. Nice Guy mask for a second … dumb. I happen to prefer a traditional song contest to colorful and dynamic show acts, and thus Ukraine 2012 naturally drops to the bottom of my list. I might enjoy “Be My Guest” in a football stadium but in ESC … thanks but no. The video is very cute though. 1/12 and 40th place on my pre-rehearsals list.

  2. Her voice is sooooo beautiful, but song NOT MY CUP OF TEA!!! Number 29/42 in my list! Good Luck to Ukraine! 🙂

  3. But I wish they kept “NA NA NA NA” singing like in the studio version, instead of the sound of trumpets we heard and saw in their NF performance, that part – “NA NA NA” is the best, I wish they allow children to be on the stage like in the video and dance choreography + sing that part, because it sounds like African children sing it! That would be AWESOME! 😀 🙂
