Russia: Buranoviskiye Babushki started to learn English and Azerbaijani!

According to Eurovision.az, the Russian representatives in Eurovision 2012, the group ‘Buranovskiye babushki’ are preparing for the international song contest in Baku.

Along with preparations for Eurovision song contest, they started studying English. Also the sweet ‘grannies’ started learning Azeri.

Executive director of Eurovision Jan Ola Sand highly assesses the chances for the grannies for victory and is confident that they will be one of the main favorites among audience.

  1. The gimmick of the season. I utterly detest seeing ESC being converted into a tabloid. Unfortunately, it was to be expected with the grannies representing Russia. Russia 2012 is not about music but all about the silly act, just like Jedward. 😦
